Why the words?

Sorry guys it was meant to be a filmy Friday where I was going to review on a film released latest but my exam spoiled it all. I hopefully will do it some other day. Nevertheless my mind conjured up another quirky thought today while the headlines and the news following them met my eyes in the morning.
No, although the Sreesanth and the spot-fixing case are surely the headlines today but I chose to avoid it because it was much hyped. Instead what grabbed my eyes was that usual celeb intervention on this matter ranging from actors to politicians and the who’s who of every field. Pouring their heart-felt thoughts and important (read passable) comments on several social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Blogs and many more (actually I don’t know any more names but moving on…)
Although India and the rest of the world is democratic and you have the freedom of speech crap that has lost it’s meaning in the by-loops of law and power, we still like to think that we can speak whatever we can, without the responsibility of taking charge of what we say or following the big mouths with big deeds.
Yes I know people will raise question that I am still on the blog writing shit and talking shit, simultaneously; but hey I ain’t the one people log on Twitter for, neither am I responsible for the fall-summer collection of many designers. No fans follow the style of my hair-cut and no one surely gets inspired by my acts and words so I am actually here to share the ideas of mine with little groups that are more peers than followers. People who still haven’t lost the power to judge before they can work on my words. But celebs have people who follow them to the core, act on their words and are responsible for their words, be it long posts or mere 140 words, cause the world looks up to them. They are icon and many people worship them; without judging in some cases.
So my point being why this craving for extra TRP and footage with every incident that drips and dents India (the celebs from whole world does that, but let’s just focus on a more selective group; shall we) and not only they comment; they have their own version for that and their verdicts as well that goes beyond the Supreme justice of India. Spiderman was once heard quoting (I know it was Uncle Ben, don’t judge) ‘With power comes great responsibility’. The responsibility part is clearly lost from the acts, be it Sanjay Dutt’s jail sentence, explosion in different parts of India or this spot-fixing case. The celebrity side isn’t showing anything to celebrate. It’s like a competition on who can give the brightest comment and get more likes and attention. Which leads to intelligent comments from the likes of (just imagine) Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan (who, the drug addict who can’t stand steady for a minute) or Justin Bieber (Art thou God! Kill me).
May be the intellectuals should once in a while leave it to rest for what it’s worth, it’s really not worth it.
And if you ask who I am I to say Well It’s Goddamn free country man. My blog, my craps…
Happy reading guys. Bye.
P.S. It caught my eye that most people couldn’t comment on the post because there was no space for it. Actually at the end there is a ‘no comments’ sign in case no comments have been made. Click it and the comment box will open. Do let me know your views. They are important. Bye.
