Visceral Views.....

My latest today.Do check out...

Ok, So 2014 has arrived with much grandeur and everyone has  welcomed it like a teenaage birthday.... so what's so special about this year. What makes it more interesting than last year? To some people this year stands for a new oppurtunity, in their own fields whle some is getting committed others are breaking free (whatever that means..) and others are looking forward to a new chapter in life. Some are going to travel to some exotic places whie others are going to settle in a place. SO this year specially the start marks  something exciting for everyone and everyone is looking for some jubillant way to make this year more exciting and memorable.

Well for me; since I am a strong foodie and a hardcore movie-buff, the start can't be bigger and better. First Kolkata opens a new mall aquite exotic one to that; Quest mall, which I have just seen pictures and plan to visit soon. Also Park strret opened a new cafe Aww Bon Pain.... (It gave way to the iconic music world, that's a loss) But let's look towads a sunny side. SO this are my priority spots to visit.

And now from my view point..literally. First, today marks the re-release of SHOLAY, the magnum-opus of Bollywood in 3-D format. I hope it creates as much buzz as it did for the 2-D version. ANd just when you think it can't bigger...

AXN opens the starting episode of the third season of SHERLOCK... yes the widely acclaimed, hugely popular and crazily followed TV show (actually of BBC) that paused for almost a pair of years only to resume with the highly critical Doyle's chapter The empty House. Only the episode is called The Empty Hearse... a pun for the 'House'. Moriarty is dead and so was Sherlock but then we saw him amidst the wood. What is the mystery? We will sure come to know. The rumours are really doin the rounds of internet and buzz is strong. "Elementary.." Ain't it...

Untill Next time....

Happy New Year' 2014.....

My latest today.Do check out...

Hola!!! Hola!!! Hola!!! Happy New year everyone. Quite an amazing time, a new sun, a new morning and the fresh air. A fresh year to start. What more can one want. It's the time to clean the slate and start afresh. The oppurtunities starting to come again. The time when you can take resolution and make promises (No matter you can deliver or not) but still that's what we do. A crispy time to look out for the coming time, what distant future beholds for us. New relationships, mendig broken ones. Time to forgive and forget and forge new friendships. Make the new year anything but better than the past year. Let happiness ring your door.

So I guess evryone has plans. But don't just celebrate the first day itself. Celebrate the whole year, te new cycle of emotions and joy that has started to usher new new possibilities again. Watch movies; there are really good movies that are coming. I personally am looking for movies like August-Osage County, 12 years a slave, Gunday, Jagga Jasoos(from Bollywood) and Jatishwar (from Tollywood).  Or you can sing yourself to the new year. Beyonce is out with an earfull (and eyefull) of music that I wish to catch. Eat Party and ENJOY... But don't let it go like the year went.

There are obviously some things we all gonna miss. Like Sachin, Madiba by me personally. But there are also some interesting drop-outs that I am ginna enjoy. Like Bieber is out of music (my ears says thank you) and Uday Chopra from films (my eyes says thank you). But anyways it's your wish and choice. This yar is going to be a serious one for politics and sports as we are going to see some altercations that can really shake those grounds. And also technology just got smarter and easy living just got easier, thanks to some cool gadgets. For me Google Glass stood out.

Anyways have a blast... Enjoy to the fullest. Make 2014 the year to remember. To the new year... Eat drink party.... Hic!!! Hic!! Hurray....

Untill next time.....

Nirbhaya Divas-The Day India stood still

My latest today.Do check out...

The black day has arrived once again. However we may not want it. However we try to forget it try to cover up with amenities, the dipping chill, and the oncoming celebrations nothing; nothing covers up the fact that on this day humanity bowed out of society after being ruthlessly kicked and the India woke up to a black day although the sky was clear. India lost its innocence. The trial has ended and justice has been served. But has the circumstances has never been just. The helpless father was quoted today in a leading daily as “our tears have not dried.” And how can they be? Like a captain who has won a far fledged war raged against him only after losing his beloved army.

The question is what did we learn from it? As the season of celebration approaches us we bring out our merry side to be a part of the fall but the fall in the character of the beings (Human or not) really makes one curious as to what are the possibility of recovery when the process is this slow. The count of complaints against such actions must have gone up. The speedy trials ensure that there is still hope lingering somewhere like a silver lining. But the number of cases, be it molestations, rape or lewd actions whatever suits you; I personally call all of them outrage of modesty; has not lessened rather has an encouraging increase, sticking the silver lining to a far-fetched cloud. One only hopes a new day may bring a new conscience. The papers did no less in bringing out the news in all forms and formats available, kudos to that. But what really makes this heinous crime seep into the deep crevices of humanity even after the punishment being so close to a capital one. God knows. Maybe it’s the hormones, but that would simply imply that all men have carnal characteristics and they can’t keep their feelings inside their er… pants!!!

But I can only hope we keep being alert and move with awareness. And if you can, try to think about the girl and what happened to the tormentors. There is still judiciary in this country. On this note, I have previously written an article bearing the same topic and theme. The site URL is pasted here. Do visit.

It has a poem etched by me. The post is named RIR! Oh unfortunate. Yes, RIR and not RIP. Because peace we can’t afford. But just Respect. Wish she rests in respect. Amen to that.

Quest for UTOPIA....

My latest today.Do check out...

Why do we need another state, country or atmosphere; leave aside a perfect place? Why? do you ask....The newspapers spews acid attacks on the waking citizens and the news channels only shows shows that only causes symptoms of heart attacks for the people who chose independence for the dictatorship 67 years ago. Yet we are to secure a firm land of  democracy that would ensure a bright and fair morning each day. Well  grievances of the common man are always the salt of life but to wake up each day to rapes murders and infidelity!!! shocking to disgusting to boring....

Well the rat race just ended and it seems the government is about to topple. But let's not talk about that right. I heard you get imprisonment upto two years for pointing a stain in the white shirt. So much for my voter card er... PAN card, sorry... Aadhar card... umm how many card does democracy and rights come in by the way?!! And that a new government can bring changes are he bleak hopes of the people who have to think about evenings spice while buying the morning salt (Salt just imagine the rumours of them being unavailable...huh) and to top that all Hon'ble Parliament comes witha  rule that makes Gay marriage illegal and beyond the 'act of nature'. That makes the gay people criminals right. I mean what it doesn't wander between the four lobes in my brains, where in the name of the puking(PUN intended...huh) morality does government find time to look into what a man/woman does in his/her bedroom. Or as a matter of fact who he does; when rapists get overnight bail and millions are getting squandered in the name of public works. Jan'HIT'kari you say. Thank GOD!! Sonia Gandhi opened her mouth. No one from Trinamul open their mouth. NaMo sir didn't open his Twitter account. It's ok that legality doesn't gives us this luxury of democratic consent, but common sense... et tu Brute!!! #RIPdemocracy

Oh! and since I am still writing... on this topic let me give you another hint of why I chose to write about this sudden quest. Not only the anti-same sex marriage law is back there is also another aw that is back in a neighbour hood country. Afganistan just re-introduced the once  Taliban monopolised punishment of  death by throwing stones for two people falling in love before love and different caste love or marriage. America sends periodical drones to abolish terrorism in areas. What about some awareness, Uncle Sam...
Well here I have some lines, a piece of my own. Hope it captures the essence.. It's called 'Utopian state of mind'

Oh! How can I live in this nation;
well nothing is perfect, but, that tends imperfection!!!
How can I live where mothers are disgraced;
it's better to die with happiness embraced.
How I wish to live this hatred behind.
To give colours to my utopian state of mind.
For this is not the life I tried;
this is not the truth I cried.
Once ventured by democracy;
 Now disparity pried.

Untill next time guys...

'APPY CHILDREN's DAY.............

My latest today.Do check out...

Tall, Fat, short, black, white, crying, laughing, silly, serious, cool, hot, runner, walker, sitter, bitter, sweet, they are everything and they have one thing common. They are all big dreamers. They know no boundaries and word is yet to become their oyster. These little precious things don't know economics neither the oil crisis and they are not afraid to be themselves.

The boy in the silk kurta who is going to a party to the small girl who washes clothes at someone's house. The girl who is celebrating her 6th or 7th birthday probably has the same dreams and wishes as the 9 years old boy that delivered the peper to her house. Yes the financial background differs in this country so much so that while one grows up to be someone who fulfills the dreams while another in the same geopgraphic demarcations grows up knowing that it's sin to dream about some things in life. But yet these children never cease to dream. Their first demand is exhibited by crying and slowly other forms develope in them. While they think of what they want they know not of what they need. It's pretty exhilarating to watch them trying to beat the odds and make way for themselves I the world they have no idea of how big it is. Not as if we can do something even though we face the reality!!?

The government is coming up with more and more plans to secure the future of the children but are the enforcers really enforcing them? While young boys are constantly driven out of the house, deprived of education to provide for the two square meals young girls help their mother to meet the financial burden of the world even before they can spell finance. And there are social evils that simply stick to the society like a bad stain that need several washes in an expensive suit. The abuse, both physically and mentally are a great tormentor of child psycology and need really more specific attention. I guess till then no day is children's day. Because if one bites on a burger to celebrate or dances in a school party to celebrate this day while in the same part of the state or country another juvenile is forced to work on a mine or quarry for food or is taught to assemble a gun then where is the essence of the spirit shown by the great leaderwhile amalgaming his name with such an auspicious day... I guess you can't  avoid some questions.

By the way do check out today's google doodle. It's really nice. Gayatri Ketharaman, you really made us proud. A very Happy Children's Day to all the kids. Also every one who are not kids per se but mentally they cease to be adults. Yeah including me. SO enjoy this day.

Am Not Afraid......

My latest today.Do check out...

Eminem has been real slick with his words and as arapper his real job was to play with words, bring out the potential meaning of words that has lingered too long in the dictionary without being used properly, being held hostage by it's traditional meaning. But his single from the last album, Not Afraid is quite apt, in my mind keeping up with the recent conditions and traditions of the society. After isn't the daily norm of the life that we be afraid of something. That fear be imbibed in our everyday chore like the air we breathe in or the water we turn freaquently turn to quench our thirst. I know you might have thought that a recent happening might have caused a spur of thoughts in me and that's why this topic. Let me explain...

We all know this is a democratic country. we can speak the shit out of ourselves, vote and all that bullshit but wait!! and think for a moment what does that all lead. Before being the independent and democratic country it is now; we weren't allowed to freedom of speech; per se. But after we aquired that freedom, what difference have we made. Yeah of course that RTI and all that but if we look closer, did it actually help us come to the point. Or was it just a tool to go places that was otherwise off limits. Todays nation provides so many voices, platforms to spea that we are losing the main motto. The proper speech. There is chaos everywhere. We all wanna speak so we make up words. Facebook Twitter and what not. Even as i write I am voicing my thoughts in this blog I don't care who wants to hear as long as someone is there to hear about it. So where does it take us? And is it effective?

Last day India shook the blasts at the Modi Rally that took a massive death toll. All Modi wanted to do was speak. If politics is taking you that farr to where the main reason becomes extinct, we should think about speaking once again.Words onec escaped donot come back and when it comes it hurts. But how many of us think that and speak. How many of us are sure they are not biased to one or the other option when they judge talk or discuss the topic, criticize one action or merely states the facts.

Yes you'll surely and probably hung up the post(if given that you have come till here) thinking that I have gone loco (some says I always was). That the fear of life, insult and injury makes us pick a side. But how long till we can say enough is enough? When can we stand up and speak and fear not the handcuffs or head blown away?Till how long can we make sure that it is right, to voice our opinion solelyy based on what we think it is right or wrong not What our boss thinks it is? ANd accept criticism like hot soup not cold porridge.

AM a douche bag right? Well, Maybe. But Am not afraid....

Book dissection-The Lowland

My latest today.Do check out...

With a strong hierarchy of famous literary awards in the kitty, Jhumpa Lahiri the NRI scholar brings to us yet another novel based on her country (Hope I am not overdoing it). The Lowland, termed as yet another of her immigration-novel, a media produced genre, it is a tale of a country ravaged wit revolution, a tale of a family set apart by love and a tale of two brothers Who lived and died only to live through one another. the stories (plural keeping in rythm with how the author chose to pen it)are interwined with emotions, dichotomy, serendipity and love. But over all a sense of nostalgia hovers from cover to cover as you approach each page; it's like you would almost take sides with a character, connect with it.

One of the critics of the book, Amy Tan very aptly puts it down,"The kind of writer who makes you want to grab the next person you see and say 'Read This'."
While New York Times sums up as "A writer of uncommon elegance and poise."
And indeed it is so. The recipent of Pulitzer Prize, a PEN/ Hemmingway Award and other accolades cross country, Lahiri has hit a note with her fourth novel, instinctively based on Kolkata (Well atleast dwelled on it for most part) and her novel had been longlisted for the Man booker Prize 2013. Although Eleanor Catton went on to grab the prize, you don'tmiss the  read and grab acopy of this absolutely delightful tale of thelives of some of the individuals conected through a common link.

Although I would hate to shre the storyline of the book a brief scope, I hope would no one dislike. It is the story of two brothers Subhas and Udayan who live at Tollygunge, Kolkata and spend their times of childhood and Teenage untill the Naxalite revolution dissects their path and snatches one from another. Wel reasearched histry provides enough fodder for an engaging read and the mix of appropiate fiction ensures we are not reading a chapter from the history book. Overall this is a novel one shouldn't give a miss. Keep engaged

Untill next time...

Huh!!! It's RIDICULOUS.............

My latest today.Do check out...

Today i am going to talk about the ridiculous things hat have captured my attention not for being different but the choice that it makes of being quirky, funny, hilarious. Ridiculous. Let's see what topped my list of Ridiculous this recent and check out whether you too think the same.

The sudden gold rush triggered by the dreams of  one Swami Shobhan Sarkar that lead to a hasty tweet by Modi and a more hastier  qualm of forgiveness is all beyond my legion. Why this Kolaveri Di? if one may ask then simply the fascination of India with unnatural or supernatural(James and Dean anyone?!!!) beings coupled with this recession market stocking up debt in stock markets have usurped this frenzy. If any gold is to be found, God knows how much will the really deserving the really hungry and thirsty people will get. Modiji might have bit his own foot by  letting his tongue loose on the canvas of 140 words but we say and I quote Facebook....'LIKE'. This whole sham scam that is glittering in the eyes of the likes of politicians and high placed nationals might just not be gold. But who stops and thinks these days other than Suhel Seth.  ASI today confirmed it has more to do with historic reasons than glittering pellets. We confirm RIDICULOUS.

Recently I came to know on a piece on coffee that Africa produces the most costliest coffee on earth and it is a type of black coffee (Yeah like something different was expected...Sorry, scratch that; no racism) But how do they do that. Well The process of collecting the Beans is  well..er... different. They collect the seeds of coffee from the dung of the elephants who had served themselves the whole plant. I don't know whether the making or the people buying or consuming it is more conforming to our today's theme.

Let's jog down to Bollywood for a change and we will get a fresh new choice for ridiculous. he was the brightest star in the horizon of  brand new Bollywood. He created spark among all his fans with his movies. His perks were as lovable as his smile. His acting made him a frenzy all over India and if that was not enough  a whole family outing on the silver screen was  supposed to be a screen scorcher and almost everyone who watched films awaited for such a project where he bares it all and gives his in and out. High expectations aired on the man. And all of a sudden Ranbir Kapoor goes and  signs Besharam. And Ridiculous never had the same meaning ever.

Today's t2, The Telegraph at Kolkata features some banned books that have generated controversy in one or other part of the world for their content and some names really made me shout out the word. but I will let you do the honours. So here are few names that are banned. Alice's Adventure in Wonderland in China, Black Beauty was banned in Africa till 1994 and The wonderful wizard of Oz in Tennessee. Did I almost hear you say 'READ-e-Culous'

There are several things more that I would have shared that seem more ridiculous to me than snake's bones about film and television about politics, the government about our prime minister but then my carreer would have ended even before it starts. So for now this is it. Hope you have some more facts that yiou would like to share. Bonjour...

Untill next time....

Subho BIJAYA!!!!!!!!!!

My latest today.Do check out...

After the much awaited shower of celebration of the biggest and grandest event of Bengal, perhaps the most in terms of grandeur after the big fat wedding in a Bengali community; the festivities go on a hibernation and we return to normal life. Finding monotonicity (is there such a word even?!!!) or mundane in life isn't hard. The normalcy brings non-uniform chaos back. The  heart longs for the festivities to continue but reality... et tu...Brute... The perspiration of months, labour of thousands and awe of perhaps lakhs of people captured through the lens of seven days immersed in water; maintaining the true tradition. Taking into  account the transportation cost for ferrying passengers from one place to another during these days, the puja industry is a billion dollar business. An estimated flow of 200 crores of rupees, the majestic welcome ceremony of the most holistic hero (let's not be gender sensitive now, shall we?) perhaps puts to shame the Vikings returning from a raid or a Greco-Roman welcoming ceremony of their bountiful chieftains.

So much is the fervour that neither the rains could dampen the moods nor the deaths of several hundreds of villagers in the adjacent city due to  flood captured a brief moment of silence. We strived through waves of people to face the deity and admire the brains and sweat of the management; while thousands on the other side of the light climbed high rocks to save their lives. But lets not get into that and dampen the after-taste of the Pujas. The city lighted up and here I am not just talking about Kolkata (Which many outsider think is the only place in Bengal!!!) but the whole of Bengal. Foods were not just eating but indulging and everyone was pocket happy regardless of incidents that shook the world or the homes of near and far. While some chose to go pandal hopping with loved ones, some chose to give adda with the friends. Huh! the effervescent Bengali.

New thoughts were made on several cases regarding the celebrations; like crowd control which spilled from here to there, last year; and this year also. The preservation of the most unique, elaborate or nicely themed and organised Puja is in talks. Oh! And while we are on the topic, did you check Badamtal Puja committee's Puja these year. Today's The Telegraph has a picture and an article on it. Nicely done theme of 'DREAM'. Awesome sculpting, I must say. Some organizers gave free clothes to the needy some homes to street children while few visited old-aged homes to distribute sweets. That's the spirit I cheer to. If this be the celebration of light let every home be lightened, if this be the celebration of happiness let every face have a drop of happiness hanging from their face.

After all defeating all the odds to come to a sustained and peaceful life where everyone existed in harmony was the motto of the Goddess we dedicate our prayer to then winning the hearts of few people through brightly lit pandals should not be the aim. Neither winning prizes be our main goals. But winning the hearts and smiles of those unprivileged by fate or society is showing the true honour of the eternal Mother. Ma Durga. That's when we can embrace each other and say we have conquered all evils; foreign or domestic. That's when we can say Subho Bijaya.

The Same Story-All over again

My latest today.Do check out...

It has been two months since  graduated from the college. The result, henceforth the degree wasn't what you call with flying colours but they are not writhing on the surface of the face. But the fact, that I am still unemployed doesn't keep rest in the head and neither takes rest from bugging inside me. And the fact that the surrounding is getting progressive day to day doesn't much to the diminishing law of effect. Yes I ask in the dark of the night; what have I achieved? What was achieved; and barring people who have been always good what have the others, my fiends and acquaintances, have achieved?

Yet here I am at the break of a new day, waiting for opportunities to lay up to my door step. Hoping to bag one. And y mind chuckles. As if to say,"You know you ain't gonna do one like that." I shut him up. Stupid brains and the realities. I have passed 23 springs on this planet and frankly speaking i have many complains.Or do I search for something to rant about to hide my un-achieved dreams...? tough lines. Thin lines that separate such diverse areas of psychology. Blurred lines.

But I guess I will move on. After all, ain't the sun gonna come up tomorrow?

After all unemployed engineers we are...Right.

Until next time..

Education and the MYTHS......

My latest today.Do check out...

First a chair then a broken handle from the sofa. Then a pot with the tree as the handle. And finally the lees of anger finally oozed out as a computer came crashing. By then the other comrades of this vandalism had done their needful and finally, the police, supposed to do something (all forgot what...) showed some movement and they were actually trying to save the gheraoed terrified creatures that were, once in a blue moon, called teachers.(One among them was also called Principal.... Students in years to come may have a hard time placing the crown of respect on these people.) Anyways the police finally remember they have a duty and so they shake a leg, rescues the already dying poor creatures from the dead tired party of over enthusiasts, mostly parents (how??!!!)

For many who were living on Mars (literally) I am just narrating the ordeal that took place just days back with principal Helen Sircar of Christ Church girls school being tormented. Trial is on and many have been captured but at what cost. The girls' death was obviously something to mourn but this way??!!

It brings me to the question...When will we recognize the borders? Where to stop and what not to do with people that are epitome of prestige.... Simply unanswerable. Just as this shit takes over the newspaper and is condemned strongly JU students gherao teachers and demands ragging punishment rethink. I don't know enough to comment but what the f*** is this...

When brains are replaced by brawl, we know logic takes backseat and the society crumples. It's pathetic to even think how we can threaten some people who have at one point tried to enlighten us with education. The same stuff that differentiates us with those barbaric animals whose behavioral aspect adorned the people who attacked the school. And I find myself in a vulnerable spot. What to look at and what to discard when anarchy befalls on this society I am living in.

Seriously people; we are going down.....

SHIT!!!!! It's PUJA , man................

My latest today.Do check out...

Lord Vishwakarma has paved the way and Mother Goddess Durga is coming in less than a month. Bengal and Bengalis are obviously on roll as their favorite season is  knocking on the door and if enjoying is the case, if celebrating is concerned, anywhere that has a hint of Bengali odor; be it Kolkata's Beniatola lane to Birmingham and Suruchi Sangha to San Francisco, not a petal of excitement is amiss. As the biggest franchises and clubs or associations hardly take a breath in this getting ready time lets talk about the darkness that dons below the lamps.

The sound decibel limit has been extended not to mention the unrestricted use of crackers in some parts of the city and everywhere the Puja is celebrated; not taking into account  the ailing, babies or people who may have problem with it. The latest inventions up this alley are nothing near to happiness or celebrations of light and sound. As the flavor of the season rises, we tend to forget the fine line between sound and noise. Our Puja and my Puja. Who cares? It's Puja , man.

The liquors and the alcohols have a free run as the seasoned drinkers and prolific 'rich' wash up their happiness with a little spirit of the Puja. The rest 'Kawra-baji' or the circus that follows after that are hard to wash up with anything and the pain stick to those people's asses who have nothing to do with. Not with those people, not with the locality. And sometimes not with the Pujas even. but who cares? It's the Puja, man.

The bikers are the most anticipated evil that needs to be recruited to the position of the 'Mahisasur'. The free run, drunk traffic guards, happy constables and Traffic sergeants always happy to receive small amounts of bounty never turn their asses to those crushing crashing and bashing the streets in the  'high-spirits'. The complains fall to deaf ears and the troubles fall on pedestrians. But who cares? It's Puja , man.

The noise of people talking and crackers bursting drown the voices of other evils taking place in this very heart of the city. The acts that are not supposed to happen to people. That are not supposed to happen to anybody. Drugs are spread, kidnapping is high, child labor increases and accidents in the form of  both vehicular as well as social occur too much. Rapes and molestation are side effects and what not to say. It seems that some peoples celebrations become bother people's night mare and the onus lies on us but we are too busy spiking our hair with gel to see whether some are even smiling or not. It's not my brutal intention to glum the enjoyment. After all when we enjoy the traders awaits customers, while we move pandal to pandal addas to addas, the drivers and cab-owners  keeps the city moving and the Police and the doctors; all those people who deserve a salute for staying apart from the family in the festive season for their duty. If so much toil goes into making the descend of mother Goddess into her arty abode smooth; isn't it our duty to  complete the cycle.
But yet we fail every year at our resolution to be a better man. A better person. And when we, if ever notice something not in order we choose to ignore. Why? IS it because it  does not belong to us or because there are other people who belong to the same responsible circle to set things in order? Nothing. No answers. Yet when everything ends and it's time to think about the next year we don't swear on being a better man. But we shout, as Goddess Durga is immersed into the water, '' Asche Bocchor abar hobe.." That it would happen next year. Same thing no change. We don't learn from mistakes. We don't learn from past. And the only questions left by the blank stares of the victims of celebrations are met with only one answer. It's Puja, man.

Then how can we spread the happiness.
How can we bring equality? And how can we celebrate the festival; when while one awaits the moments, somewhere a tearful eye sighs...

SHIT!! It's Puja, man.

Happy  reading.

Happy Halloween...AAAAAaaaa!!!!!!...

My latest today.Do check out...

Hello my lovely Zombies and priceless ghouls, wish you a howly and shrieking Halloween. Friday the thirteenth is here again and as the streets are flooded with little monsters knocking on your door "Trick or Treat" (Probably not anywhere in India but somewhere sure) once again my mind conjures up a curiosity with no valid real life significance; yet since it's my mind and given the current status I haven't lost it lets see what it serves. Well the conundrum seems to be that ghosts or spirits depending on whether you're alcoholic or non alcoholic; exist, no doubt. Some may argue other may flee but no one can prove that it does not belong. No one can prove that this things are only hallucinations or stories cooked up to scare away children, although the case seems curious-er that way. Indeed they are not to be seen everywhere but they are omnipresent and what my mind asks is that why if these things scare, do in the name of fresh hell we celebrate and long for this things? Do we wish to die? or is it such that we humans love to challenge anything that beyond us without caring for the consequences?

Yes, needless to say that how much of scared are we in real life of this extra terrestrial sorts of concept we do love to fondle the subject in expectations of that eerie adventure that devoid itself from our day to day life. This moth like attraction to what seems to be a burning topic makes me inquisitive. Too. I must admit keep distance from any such thing that even comes near to SCARY, let alone be one. And as such in all my college life have barred myself from watching movies like SCARY movie, SAW, Hostel, Wrong Turn or the BOLLYWOOD nuances on this subject. Nightmares and sweaty dreams (mind you sweaty..not any other forms of wet...." keep me awake in the deep of the night and alone is not the state I want to be in a a dark shadowy room after having seen a gruesome murder or a spine chilling laughter. So better not see it. But many of my mates seem to enjoy. And it keeps e baffled.

Also knowing nothing as such happens or exists, I see people still likes the idea of being scared. Vikram Bhatt, one of the established pro director of Bollywood in this genre; incidentally whose movie "HORROR STORY" releases today (And I am not watching obviously) says that stuffs have happened with him and the incidents have partially, if not totally left him wanting to work on this subject. I think it's just a good promotional strategy but then it's not unlikely that something DIFFERENT have happened or is happening in this world with someone or the other at every time. UFOs, Werewolves, moving shadows (man it's creeping me out even to write about it) what not be scared of in this world.

Anyways I don't now why it interests some persons I am not sure but it does have a ring to the idea of some one appearing from the behind of the curtain with a steel knife or  a silhouette of the face on the glass windows... Why are the dogs howling....?  Maybe  tonight... it's just as bad as other night or a bit badder,  the night is getting chilly. What ever you do just stay inside. Ok... you never know.

Happy Halloween guys..

Until next time..

9/11; The day it was, the day it is.

My latest today.Do check out...

Today is just like any other day. Any other moment isn't different from the moments  anyone  passed today. You wake up from sleep, hit the newspaper. Drink eat go office watch T.V. nope, nothing different. The day that passed, the day that is about to come are all the very same from today. Or is there something?

9/11. Twelve years ago probably the greatest massacre, the biggest destruction in the history of the world and America took place that can only be compared to massive destruction like Jew concentration camps or holocaust. The twin towers of America were the pride of the country and although process is on to rebuild something like that, nothing could bring back the essence of the past years that it represented. Averting political and socio theories, suffice to say it was something that was a loss in every sense of action. And it took many precious lives too. It will be many centuries that people will dread this accident and it is perhaps this accident that many is facing consequences till now.

The date is shivered all over the country and it's black day for numerous people all over the planet. A day of death and destruction but for India, perhaps it set a new track record today. The accused for the Kamduni Rape victim are to be sentenced and there is going to be a trial. A fair trial. What more does they want? What more can we give them? Respect is what they deserved, respect is what we can now only give them. It seems the family of the victim of Kamduni incident is finding solace but along with them all the other victim families here and abroad who have lost some one in this atrocities are finally getting back firm ground beneathe them And to get this verdict today, this news only proved that everything is coming back to good, everything comes back to normal; it's like the circle is getting finally full.

I once  wrote a piece, a poem on the sad incident of not Kamduni but very similar 'accident??!!' that happened in Delhi. The post it was included is 'RIR! Oh Unfortunate.' Hope you'll read it. Just my voice expressing gasped sadness and lapsed opportunities.

Until next time...

Tall Tales of Woes...2

My latest today.Do check out...

Yes after a quite make that quiet, gap; here I am. These days I don't even know what I do. life seems to be on a n unknown trajectory and a one hell of a ride, that's for sure. I think sometimes what if the opportunities that laid on my way would have tasted. But lamenting is not going to bring back all those lost tides at bay. SO I look forward to life and take a step, once at a time. In this frivolous times, one can really get lost.

But more importantly, lost or not, if you don't watch your step you can get splashed. Yeah especially if you are in Kolkata. The famous moon-craters have really bugged, shitted and beat the hell out of me. And my trousers. Yes, if the potholes on the streets resembles anything, it is the those of the moon. And the rains add a bit of panache with those extra jiggling sending the dirt water into a slimy dancing shit mode hitting cars and pedestrians alike. You look that way, they are there; you look this way they are there. It's horrendous. The jam is the effervescence  of the streets, here in Kolkata and the passing of the day ensures your maturity oif the LIC for your family to enjoy. You have to take the life in your hands and literally stop caring about returning home in full. Accidents are like, oh-so-common incidents now.

And then to top it all I watched a movie. ZANJEER. Yes supposedly the remake of the great AB starrer but it's not even near the poster of the film. I should have listened to the critics and avoided the constipated Ram Charan and dialectic-ally wrong PC.. Hope no one makes a remake that is inspired by Zanjeer- the 2013-wala dud. I plan to watch more movies and will return with the reviews.

The life has changed. Just last year we were all sitting in the college campus enjoying the moments and now I sit alone, not even knowing what my friends are doing. I guess, life's just a mess. You agree?

Anyways, it always feels nice to dump my innerself before the world, before people who take time to read and understand the feelings. It's so nice to get back here.

Happy reading.
