Hello my lovely Zombies and priceless ghouls, wish you a howly and shrieking Halloween. Friday the thirteenth is here again and as the streets are flooded with little monsters knocking on your door "Trick or Treat" (Probably not anywhere in India but somewhere sure) once again my mind conjures up a curiosity with no valid real life significance; yet since it's my mind and given the current status I haven't lost it lets see what it serves. Well the conundrum seems to be that ghosts or spirits depending on whether you're alcoholic or non alcoholic; exist, no doubt. Some may argue other may flee but no one can prove that it does not belong.No one can prove that this things are only hallucinations or stories cooked up to scare away children, although the case seems curious-er that way. Indeed they are not to be seen everywhere but they are omnipresent and what my mind asks is that why if these things scare, do in the name of fresh hell we celebrate and long for this things? Do we wish to die? or is it such that we humans love to challenge anything that beyond us without caring for the consequences?
Yes, needless to say that how much of scared are we in real life of this extra terrestrial sorts of concept we do love to fondle the subject in expectations of that eerie adventure that devoid itself from our day to day life. This moth like attraction to what seems to be a burning topic makes me inquisitive. Too. I must admit keep distance from any such thing that even comes near to SCARY, let alone be one. And as such in all my college life have barred myself from watching movies like SCARY movie, SAW, Hostel, Wrong Turn or the BOLLYWOOD nuances on this subject. Nightmares and sweaty dreams (mind you sweaty..not any other forms of wet...." keep me awake in the deep of the night and alone is not the state I want to be in a a dark shadowy room after having seen a gruesome murder or a spine chilling laughter. So better not see it. But many of my mates seem to enjoy. And it keeps e baffled.
Also knowing nothing as such happens or exists, I see people still likes the idea of being scared. Vikram Bhatt, one of the established pro director of Bollywood in this genre; incidentally whose movie "HORROR STORY" releases today (And I am not watching obviously) says that stuffs have happened with him and the incidents have partially, if not totally left him wanting to work on this subject. I think it's just a good promotional strategy but then it's not unlikely that something DIFFERENT have happened or is happening in this world with someone or the other at every time. UFOs, Werewolves, moving shadows (man it's creeping me out even to write about it) what not be scared of in this world.
Anyways I don't now why it interests some persons I am not sure but it does have a ring to the idea of some one appearing from the behind of the curtain with a steel knife or a silhouette of the face on the glass windows... Why are the dogs howling....? Maybe tonight... it's just as bad as other night or a bit badder, the night is getting chilly. What ever you do just stay inside. Ok... you never know.
